【前言】
幼蟲變化到成蟲，有一種過渡形態，稱為蛹。
成年昆蟲的體形會在這個階段生成，而幼蟲的體形結構則會瓦解。
大部份的蛹都是固定的，且有著堅硬的保護外殼。
只有當蛹解脫這堅硬的保護外殼，才會成長為成蟲。
毛毛蟲在化蝶過程要進行大量的代謝活動，最終搖身一變，破繭而出，成為蝴蝶。

蝴蝶在蛻變後有輕薄羽翅，自身靈活多了，就連處在花叢中，也感受到花兒變輕盈一般。
